ABC News has settled a defamation lawsuit with Donald Trump, agreeing to pay $15 million.
The lawsuit stemmed from false statements by anchor George Stephanopoulos, who claimed Trump had been found “liable for rape.”
In fact, a jury determined Trump was liable for “sexual abuse,” a different legal definition.
The settlement includes a public statement from ABC addressing the error.
