On January 20, 2025, Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, returning to office after a four-year hiatus.

The ceremony was held indoors in the Capitol Rotunda due to extreme cold, with Chief Justice John Roberts administering the oath of office.

Trump used two Bibles during the ceremony: one belonging to his mother and the historic Lincoln Bible.

In his inaugural address, Trump declared a “golden age” for America, emphasizing plans to boost oil production, impose tariffs, and secure the U.S.-Mexico border.

He also pledged to unify the country and send an American to Mars.

The event was attended by former presidents and prominent figures like Elon Musk, highlighting the administration’s focus on technological advancements.

Following the ceremony, Trump signed executive orders addressing immigration, civil service reforms, and pardons related to the January 6 Capitol events.

This marks a significant shift in U.S. policy as Trump begins his second term with bold promises and immediate action.
